Job Summary
This is an entry level role perfect for someone early in their laboratory career who enjoys practical, detail-driven work and wants to develop experience in a regulated diagnostics setting.

As the Laboratory Coordinator at Cyted, you’ll play an essential hands-on role owning the daily operations of our U.S. laboratory. You’ll help make sure samples are received, logged, tracked, and reported accurately - keeping everything running smoothly and compliantly, always with the customer in mind. You will help shape Cyted’s U.S. lab presence, embedding the standard for how we run, scale, and deliver.

You’ll be part of the team that ensures the lab stays organized, audit-ready, and compliant with CAP, CLIA, ISO, and GCP compliance not just as a box-tick, but as a mindset woven into daily operations. You’ll support both clinical trial and commercial activities, working closely with clinical partners, internal teams, and our contract lab, ensuring the whole system connects and flows seamlessly.

As we grow, you will get stuck in to help build the operational backbone for commercial expansion in the U.S, leaning into clinical research data monitoring to make sure our insights are reliable, our reporting is rock-solid, and our partners trust us to deliver.
Working Pattern and Location
The role is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour working week, from the contract lab in Rosewell, Atlanta.

The role holder will be required to work flexibly including travel and some weekend commitments.
What you will be doing
Clinical trial and Laboratory support:
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end logistics for sample collection, tracking, and shipment between trial sites and our laboratory partners - ensuring everything runs seamlessly and on time.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, chain-of-custody, and reporting so data are always clear, consistent, and audit-ready.
  • Keep trial activities moving, from monitoring sample processing timelines to hitting reporting milestones, so contractual and regulatory commitments are never at risk.
  • Contribute to the creation of lab manuals, SOPs, and training materials, helping set the standard for how Cyted collaborates with trial sites.
Operational Coordination:
  • Act as the go-to operations link between clinical teams, trial sites, laboratory partners, and internal stakeholders - building trust and keeping communication flowing.
  • Coordinate daily lab activities, schedules, and resources so that operations run efficiently.
  • Support the maintenance of laboratory and office environments to meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Own processes like document control, report generation, and administrative processes linked to laboratory operations.
  • Respond to queries from colleagues and external partners in a professional, proactive way that builds confidence and trust.
  • Step in to triage and resolve operational issues. Whether it’s sample integrity, test discrepancies, or data delivery.
  • Ensure every partner interaction reflects Cyted’s commitment to professionalism and reliability.
Quality & Compliance Monitoring:
  • Help drive Cyted’s Quality Management System (QMS), keeping us aligned with CAP, CLIA, ISO, and GCP requirements
  • Assist in preparing for audits, inspections, and quality reviews, ensuring the lab always operates to the highest standards.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining quality documentation, from SOPs to CAPA records, ensuring compliance is never compromised.
  • Track lab performance indicators such as turnaround times or error rates, helping the team identify areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with QA and operations colleagues to investigate and resolve issues, maintaining a culture of quality and compliance.
How we work
At Cyted, how we work is as important as what we work on. Our values guide how we lead, collaborate, and deliver, and as Laboratory Co-ordinator, you’ll be expected to model them every day.

We care deeply about the patients and partners we serve, and about the colleagues we work alongside. In this role, care means ensuring laboratory processes run seamlessly, safely, and compliantly. You’ll treat every sample and workflow with respect, understanding the impact your diligence has on patients, clinicians, and trial outcomes.

We expect you to own your responsibilities with confidence and accountability. You’ll be the point of coordination between Cyted, our laboratory partner, and clinical trial sites - making sure that logistics, reporting, and compliance are managed effectively and efficiently. You’ll take responsibility for what needs to happen, follow through with precision, and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate.

We aim high. Cyted is scaling quickly in both clinical trials and commercial operations, and our lab operations need to set the standard, not just keep up. You’ll be trusted to set ambitious expectations, raise the bar on quality, and think creatively about how to make workflows smarter and more efficient. High standards, curiosity, and a relentless focus on better are not optional - they’re how we grow.

You’ll be expected to dive deep into both the detail and the purpose of your work. Nothing is too operational or too strategic for your attention. You’ll need a solid grasp of CAP/CLIA requirements, quality management systems, and day-to-day logistics - and you’ll understand not just what needs to be done, but why it matters. You’ll model that understanding for others and help build scalable, compliant processes from the start.

We encourage everyone to challenge and commit. You’ll have the space to ask questions, push for better, and speak up when things could be improved. But once a decision is made, you’ll own it fully. Silent disagreement has no place here - clarity, conviction, and commitment to shared goals are how we move forward.

And most of all, we deliver. Our success depends on execution. In this role, that means getting samples processed correctly, audits passed smoothly, timelines met consistently, and customers supported confidently. You’ll focus on what matters, act with urgency, and make measurable progress every day.
This is how we work at Cyted, and if this sounds like the environment where you’ll do your best work, we’d love to speak with you.
Person Specification

  • A bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, medical laboratory science, or a related field (required).
  • 1–2 years’ experience of working in a laboratory environment, quality management, or the diagnostics industry.
  • A clear understanding of clinical lab workflows - from sample intake to processing and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance practices and compliance documentation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to liaise between internal teams and external lab partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, and coordination skills to ensure smooth collaboration across clinical and laboratory staff.
  • Professional certifications such as ASCP or ACRP are a plus.
  • Experience with NGS testing would be highly valuable.
